Ethan Simon: Assistant to the Regional Manager for DJ Trivia STL
Ethan Simon didn’t apply for the position of Assistant to the Regional Manager; he was recruited. After spending time together at their family’s vacation home on the Lake of the Ozarks, Vickie made Ethan an offer. “We’ll fly you to Reno for a few weeks, train you, and assuming you love it, you can help us bring DJ Trivia to St. Louis.” Ethan flew to Reno for 3 weeks this fall. By day, he explored the area and spent time with cousins. But every evening, he was out hosting DJ Trivia.

What made you want to become a DJ Trivia Host/Manager?
- I wanted to work for DJ trivia because I saw an opportunity to help my family grow their business. I also wanted to surround myself with successful people for my own personal growth.
What are you most excited to see as DJ Trivia STL grows?
- The most excited part about DJ Trivia in St Louis is the fact that we will build long-lasting and meaningful relationships around the greater St. Louis area. I’m so excited to explore that and get to know local businesses.
What do you love about hosting DJ Trivia?
- Interacting with the crowd and listening to all of the fun music
When you aren’t hosting, what do you love to do?
- I love to interact with my church, friends and family. I love playing music and singing.
What is something you’ve learned about yourself since joining the DJ Trivia Nevada family?
- I have found that my love for trivia has gone up and I seem to be much more competitive when I play; I find it very engaging. I also learned that hosting DJ Trivia for a family event is harder than hosting for a restaurant full of strangers.
What is your favorite DJ Trivia memory?
- The first time I played a game was my favorite. I landed in Reno on a Tuesday and immediately went from the airport to a game. The next night I started training to host. It wasn’t until my last weeknight in town (almost 3 weeks later) that I got to just play another game.
Ethan will be working hand in hand with DJ Trivia STL Regional Manager, Kim Eichelberger. In fact, he hosted our very first DJ Trivia game in STL at Chillax, St. Peters. We are all so excited to see them bring DJ Trivia to more neighborhoods and local restaurants!
